Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri Dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress, best known for her performances in the movies Beta Saajan as well as Hum Aapke Hain Kun..! She was first known for her role in Tezaab from the 1980s and Tezaab, which she co-starred alongside veteran actor Anil Koopor. In the following film, she was a part of Aamir in Dil. In Mumbai her home, she grew up in a family of middle-class parents. When she was a young stage, she was able to take dance lessons. She started acting when young and fought through a couple of years since the majority of her first films were flops. However, she eventually achieved success and was one of the leading actresses in the Indian film business. After her marriage, she took an interruption from her acting career. The actress returned in later years. More recently she played an integral role in the film Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women in India. Dixit was nominated 15 times to win Filmfare Awards. She won eight of the awards. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India is bestowed to Dixit. Social work by her is known to the world.
