She was the character Karen Walker on the NBC sitcom Will & Grace (1998-2006, 2017-2020) for which she received eight Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Comedy Series winning twice in 2000 and 2006. In addition to being awarded the Screen Actors' Guild Award, which she won for Outstanding Female Actress Performance by a Female in an Comedy Series, she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award four times and seven nominations in a row. One of Mullally's earliest appearances in a commercial was one of the McDonald's commercial, and it also starred John Goodman. Her show debut came on The Ellen Burstyn Show in 1986. When she was six she was a ballet student and danced at Oklahoma City Ballet. She took ballet classes at School of American Ballet New York City.
